I'm a meditation teacher and writer who specialises in guiding meditation classes for childless not by choice. After leaving the corporate world in 2001, I studied Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation in India. Wanting to bring this ancient healing form to my hometown, I set up a well-being business in London. I studied Life Coaching and became certified then moved to Brighton and has now been teaching meditation for almost 20 years.
A typical session is a virtual space with like-minded people who understand your story of childless not by choice. It is a warm, welcoming space of a maximum eight participants. The meditation starts with breathing to relax the mind and body before the theme of the day. There is a different weekly theme for the classes. Themes include peace, letting go, meditating on the chakras (energy centres), the small joys of life, affirmations, and self-care. The central part of the meditation is guided with the theme and there is a period of silence for your own reflections. We end the meditation with grounding, and there is the opportunity to share if you wish to at the end, or simply listen and be in a space of kindness and compassion.
